He was stunned. \u201cI\u2019m only 22. I\u2019m not ready to be a father.\u201d<\/p>\n

That night, Daniel didn\u2019t let Marcus out of his sight. The next few days were quiet but full of decision. He met with Emma. They cried, talked, forgave, and decided to try. Not as a couple at first, but as partners\u2014two people trying to do right by their son.<\/p>\n

Daniel found a job. Emma returned to school. I took care of Marcus when they couldn\u2019t. We began to grow\u2014into something unexpected, but deeply beautiful.<\/p>\n
