Pheromones. Influencer Mandy Lee said, \u201cVab and you\u2019ll get dates,\u201d insisting that natural scent trumps synthetic perfume. Her video went viral before being deleted, sparking a wave of similar clips.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"601\" data-end=\"913\">But scientists disagree. While animals use pheromones to attract mates, there\u2019s little proof humans do. Neuroscientist Erick Janssen calls the trend a \u201cfad,\u201d noting humans don\u2019t consciously detect pheromones. Sex expert Edwina Caito adds, \u201cOur secretions have pheromones, but not enough to be effective perfume.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"915\" data-end=\"1137\">The placebo effect may play a role\u2014confidence can be attractive. But vabbing comes with risks. Poor hygiene may cause infections or STIs.
