After speaking with himself, President Donald Trump has stated that Coca-Cola is planning to alter its recipe in the US.<\/p>\n

Since its debut on May 8, 1986, in Atlanta, Georgia, Americans have been savouring a cool can of Coke. The syrup was made by Dr. John Pemberton, who brought it to Jacob\u2019s Pharmacy all those years ago and combined it with carbonated water.<\/p>\n

Since then, the recipe has undergone a few modifications, the most significant of which was the 1903 elimination of cocaine. Indeed, the idea that people once drank a glass of something that contained a schedule II medication is absurd.<\/p>\n

Taking to Truth Social, he posted: \u201cI have been speaking to Coca-Cola about using REAL Cane Sugar in Coke in the United States, and they have agreed to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d like to thank all of those in authority at Coca-Cola. This will be a very good move by them \u2013 You\u2019ll see. It\u2019s just better!\u201d<\/p>\n

Before discussing Coca-Cola\u2019s reaction, it\u2019s important to note that the company today employs high-fructose corn syrup in the US instead of cane sugar, which was made possible by national farming subsidies. Previously, sugar cane was imported from South America.<\/p>\n

Trump is now advocating for the use of US-grown sugar cane in the production of the nation\u2019s favourite soda.<\/p>\n

Responding to the president, Coca-Cola Company issued the following statement to People: \u201cWe appreciate President Trump\u2019s enthusiasm for our iconic Coca-Cola brand. More details on new innovative offerings within our Coca-Cola product range will be shared soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

James Quincey, the company\u2019s CEO, emphasised to investors in April, just three months ago, that Coca-Cola will \u201ccontinue to make progress on sugar reduction in our beverages.\u201d<\/p>\n

His company has \u201cdone this by changing recipes as well as by using our global marketing resources and distribution network to boost awareness of and interest in our ever-expanding portfolio,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the sugary beverage that we all love may soon change, and the recipe that it would employ wouldn\u2019t be new to Coca-Cola because sugar cane is used in the production of the beverage in Australia and Mexico, among other nations.<\/p>\n
