Tammy Slaton, a TLC personality, has opened out about her body makeover and how she lost an incredible 500 pounds.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2020, the reality TV personality has been sharing her weight loss journey on the 1000-Lb. Sisters show with her sister Amy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since she gained 100 pounds due to being cooped up indoors during the pandemic, Tammy\u2019s initial goal of losing 30 pounds turned into 130 pounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At her greatest weight of 725 pounds, Tammy required an oxygen tube to breathe and a walker and wheelchair to get around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to her food addiction, the celebrity had a challenging time losing weight and had to go to treatment several times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has experienced both physical and personal hardships while on the program, including the death of her husband, Caleb Willingham, in 2023 at the age of 40.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She persevered in her objective, and in spite of the setbacks, she was able to shed almost 500 pounds, which was a remarkable accomplishment given her history of having trouble losing weight with food and exercise alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tammy ultimately received approval for bariatric surgery as a result, and in July 2022, she had the procedure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The celebrity made her body transformation debut on season seven of the TLC show in August of last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I was at my heaviest, I was 700 plus lbs.,\u201d <\/strong>she said on the show. \u201cRight now, I\u2019m weighing in at 238. Everybody keeps telling me I\u2019m looking smaller than Amy.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThat\u2019s kind of hard to believe.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tammy recently spoke with the Ezell Film Company on how she lost about 540 pounds from her peak weight to this point, describing how she has essentially lost \u201cthree whole versions of herself.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the podcast, she also said, \u201cI see pictures of me now and I think \u2018wow\u2019.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tammy has talked candidly about her much-anticipated skin removal surgery with PEOPLE in recent weeks, stating that she was more anxious about the treatment than she was about her bariatric surgery in 2022. The procedure took place in January of this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI was really nervous for the skin removal surgery because I was really just kind of afraid of how I\u2019m gonna feel looking at myself without the belly there,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
