Both Byron and Cabot resigned from their positions shortly after. Astronomer\u2019s board launched a formal investigation and said, \u201cOur leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No Privacy or Defamation Case<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Trial attorney John W. Day explained Byron\u2019s privacy and defamation claims would likely fail. \u201cHe had no expectation of privacy at the Coldplay concert because it was a public event,\u201d Day said. He added Byron would have to prove Martin \u201cknew that he was not having an affair\u201d to win a defamation case.
