On Wednesday, the Birmingham City Council will host a public procession through the streets of Ozzy\u2019s hometown. Beginning at 1 p.m., a hearse carrying Osbourne will move down Broad Street to the Black Sabbath Bridge, where thousands have already left floral tributes. A live brass band will accompany the procession in celebration of Ozzy\u2019s life and legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/image-101.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-70502\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/image-101.png 720w, https:\/\/pulsperry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/image-101-300x169.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOzzy was more than a music legend\u2014he was a son of Birmingham,\u201d said Lord Mayor Zafar Iqbal. \u201cWe\u2019re proud to give him the farewell he deserves.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ozzy\u2019s family, including wife Sharon and children Aimee, Jack, and Kelly, say the private service will reflect his wishes for a joyful farewell. In 2011, Ozzy joked that he wanted his funeral to be fun, not a \u201cmope-fest,\u201d complete with pranks and laughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He passed away peacefully on July 22, surrounded by loved ones.
