Before Arnold Schwarzenegger and his ex-wife, Maria Shriver, divorced, they welcomed their fourth and youngest child, Christopher Schwarzenegger. Once a heavier young man, Christopher has since shed the excess weight. Let’s take a closer look at his transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Born on September 27, 1997<\/a>, in Los Angeles, Christopher generally prefers staying out of the limelight\u2014a contrast to his parents’ high-profile careers, although he has been spotted out and about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has appeared on television<\/a> only a few times, including in 2020 on the \u201cToday\u201d show and in 2025 on \u201cEntertainment Tonight.\u201d His father, born July 30, 1947<\/a>, in Thal, Styria, Austria, is widely known for his role in the \u201cTerminator\u201d movies and once served as the Govenor of California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arnold’s journey from a penniless immigrant to a Hollywood success story began early, as he developed a strong interest in physical fitness and bodybuilding. He eventually competed in several minor contests across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the former couple divorced following Arnold’s admission that he had fathered a child<\/a> with the family’s live-in maid, they continue to co-parent effectively. They were both immensely proud and supportive when their youngest child attended and eventually graduated from university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carrying Extra Weight in College<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In October 2019, Christopher’s parents demonstrated their support when Maria attended a parents’ weekend<\/a> at the University of Michigan. She posted a heartwarming photo of herself with her son, who was still carrying extra weight at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christopher had his hair slicked back, a visible beard, and wore his varsity jacket. Maria, who had her hair loose and wore a black blazer and white shirt, noted that it was the last parents’ weekend for all four children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also praised the school, its educational standards, fellow parents, and the football team. By May 2020, Christopher remained chubby as he graduated from university. Arnold shared a photo of himself smiling in his graduation attire with the university logo in the background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He held a golden trophy<\/a> shaped like a thumbs-up hand with the words \u201cI Did It!\u201d and his graduation script in the other hand. Arnold captioned<\/a> the post, \u201cChristopher, you are a champion and I love you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actor acknowledged<\/a> that the graduation wasn’t the \u201cbig celebration\u201d his son had envisioned. However, what made him<\/a> \u201cso proud\u201d wasn’t watching Christopher walk across the stage, but rather his son’s compassion, hard work, vision, critical thinking, and selflessness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He concluded<\/a>, \u201cI can’t wait to watch you keep climbing and succeeding.\u201d After graduating from college, Christopher began focusing more on getting fit and living a healthier lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By 2025, Christopher appeared completely transformed, having lost the weight he had carried since childhood. On May 10, 2025, he spoke candidly about his dramatic weight loss at the Inaugural Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
