For these two conjoined twins baby girls, in Philadelphia, their incredible predicament isn\u2019t going to impair their lives at all\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Erin and Abby Delaney,&nbsp;<strong>beautiful baby girls were born<\/strong>&nbsp;in 2016 summertime, conjoined at the tops of their heads, this really made the separation really a complicated and difficult thing indeed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Looking at these two<\/strong>&nbsp;it was apparent that to keep them joined in this fashion was really not an option for them,&nbsp;for their development and for their mental health&nbsp;too as they grow up.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/boreddaddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/conjoined-twins-joined-head-see-after-surgery-01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28456\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>The Children\u2019s Hospital<\/strong>&nbsp;of Philadelphia took on the task of separating them from each other,&nbsp;the most complex procedure&nbsp;that the hospital has&nbsp;ever carried out before!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To do the surgery<\/strong>&nbsp;it took a surgical team for each girl and many hours of fast-paced procedures to stop either of them&nbsp;bleeding to death&nbsp;or to&nbsp;cause further complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>With love, care, and incredible<\/strong>&nbsp;skills of the surgeons the two were separated without any problems, it was a success and&nbsp;they can now live separate lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thier mom, Heather Delaney, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThey\u2019re such happy, content little girls, for what they\u2019ve gone through \u2026They\u2019ve never lived outside of hospital walls.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/boreddaddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/conjoined-twins-joined-head-see-after-surgery-02.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28457\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Now that had all changed<\/strong>&nbsp;for the better, five months down the line and after surgery and the pair being home, they could grow physically and mentally and&nbsp;flourish in their own space, mom commented about how really well they have been both developing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mom also said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThey\u2019re not afraid of people \u2026it\u2019s amazing to see how brave they\u2019ve been through all of it.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/boreddaddy.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/conjoined-twins-joined-head-see-after-surgery-03.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28458\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>For many of the first months<\/strong>&nbsp;after their birth, it was impossible to hold them separately, they could not learn to roll over even, let alone sit up and for their own safety,&nbsp;they were monitored constantly!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eventually,&nbsp;Erin was sitting up on her own and Abby learned to roll over too, it was a very long path to where they are now&nbsp;but they followed it to completion&nbsp;and finally, they arrived safely!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>These amazing girls<\/strong>&nbsp;are having a second chance at life, an awesome life, but they needed to undergo further surgeries.
