A whole family was killed in the collision that happened on the CE-060 highway between Cariria\u00e7u and Juazeiro do Norte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were traveling from V\u00e1rzea Alegre to Juazeiro do Norte with H\u00e9rida Nascimento da Silva, Sebasti\u00e3o C\u00edcero Gomes, and their 3-year-old son, Miguel Nascimento Gomes. The tragedy was made even more tragic by the fact that the trip was planned for little Miguel\u2019s surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Around 7 a.m., the family\u2019s car lost control and crashed into a stream close to S\u00edtio Piripiri, as reported by TV Verdes Mares and verified by the Cear\u00e1 Military Fire Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The water was about five meters deep, which made rescue operations extremely difficult and ultimately led to the death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The accident\u2019s cause is still being looked into by authorities.
