According to reports, Meghan Markle has reached out to Kate to restore their shattered relationships following King Charles\u2019 cancer diagnosis and Princess of Wales\u2019 stomach surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to The Mirror, Meghan made the first move after her husband, Prince Harry, paid a quick visit to the United Kingdom following the global announcement that Charles had been diagnosed with an unidentified form of cancer. According to the site, Meghan has \u201ccontacted\u201d Kate and that \u201cmoves are being made\u201d behind the scenes, as well as reaching out to the King himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following their recent health issues, \u201cMeghan has contacted Kate and Charles,\u201d a source told Us Weekly. \u201cSo, moves are being made to reconcile.\u201d A second individual added: \u201cMeghan is supportive of Harry in all of this, and she wishes the royals\u2014Kate included\u2014the very best.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same insider stated that Kate is \u201copen\u201d to reconciliation and \u201cwilling to move forward,\u201d but \u201cwon\u2019t meddle\u201d in her husband Prince William\u2019s relationship with Harry, which appears to be riddled with stress. \u201cThey can use this as a starting point,\u201d they stated. \u201cThe consensus is that life is too short, and there\u2019s hope this will lead to repairing the rift.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also stated that, while Meghan did not accompany Harry when he visited the King at his London home, Clarence House, earlier this month, \u201cMeghan was in total agreement that Harry had to be there,\u201d they added. \u201cHe got to tell his father how much he loves him and get a fuller account of what Charles is facing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kate and Meghan\u2019s tension can be seen in the infamous bridesmaid dress row during Meghan\u2019s wedding to Harry in May 2018. Initially, reports stated that Meghan made Kate cry in the run-up to Meghan\u2019s wedding, but Meghan explained in a 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey that it was the opposite, and that Meghan had been \u201churt\u201d by Kate\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harry recounted on the scenario in his 2023 memoir, Spare, writing that he discovered Meghan crying \u201con the floor\u201d following a fight with Kate about Princess Charlotte\u2019s bridesmaid outfit. Kate apparently told Meghan that there was a \u201cproblem\u201d with the dress and that all of the bridesmaid dresses needed to be \u201ccompletely remade.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
