The latest pictures of Tom Selleck confirms what many of us suspected… Check the comments
Hollywood is where dreams come true, but only the most talented and fortunate manage to make a lasting impact. One such individual is Shutterstock/s_buckley, who has enjoyed a successful career on television for many years.

Selleck’s big break came with his lead role as Thomas Magnum in “Magnum, P.I.,” earning him five Emmy Award nominations and a win in 1985. Before achieving stardom, he played minor roles in films and series, appeared in numerous commercials, and even made a couple of appearances on “The Dating Game.” Reflecting on his game show experience, he said, “Humiliating and embarrassing. I lost. Twice. I wasn’t particularly funny or glib.” Despite these setbacks, he was offered a spot in 20th Century Fox’s talent program, where he spent two years before taking a six-month leave for active duty. Upon his return, he was dropped, but he remained undeterred.

In an interview with AARP, Selleck shared, “The luckiest thing that happened was that I didn’t get a real job until I was 35. When I was 25, I looked 35 but sounded 15. There are a lot of very good actors who make it as younger leading men but don’t graduate—because the audience won’t accept them as grown up.”
“Magnum, P.I.” came at a crucial time when Selleck was nearly ready to give up on acting. “I think if Magnum hadn’t worked out, I’d never have worked again in this business,” he told Closer Weekly.
Since 2010, Selleck has co-starred in the television series “Blue Bloods,” playing Frank Reagan, the New York City Police Department commissioner. The show has been renewed for its 13th season.

Over his lengthy career, Selleck has performed most of his stunts, which has taken a toll on his body. “My back’s kind of messed up,” he admitted. “When you do stunts in movies—I do a lot of them—you’re taking a risk, but you’re also sitting around a lot. So you might do a fight scene, and then you sit in your chair, and it’s not like you have a personal trainer saying, ‘Okay, we’re ready to go, but Tom needs ten minutes of stretching and warm-up.’” He continued, “You just see the price of all those stunts. They weren’t that hard, but I think it’s the stop-and-go of all that stuff.”

To stay in shape, Selleck works on his ranch in Ventura, California, and nurtures his passion for horses, a love he has passed down to his daughter.

Selleck has been married to Jillie Mack for 35 years. Their strong union is attributed to his commitment to family. In a 2012 interview with People, Selleck said, “I quit Magnum to have a family. It took a long time to get off the train, but I try very hard to have balance, and this ranch has helped me do that.” His wife added, “We both thought it was the best environment for Hannah to grow up.”
We wish Tom Selleck continued health and happiness.
