Mom leaves “baby” in car while she shops at Target – promises others that he’s OK

These days, it seems impossible to be in public without risking online exposure.

We are in the era of viral content, where funny, awkward, and sometimes deeply personal videos and images can be instantly shared over the internet.

While this can be misused, it can also serve good purposes, such as holding people accountable for their actions.

In early March, an Instagram picture went viral, allegedly showing a message from a mother who had left her baby in the car to shop at Target. This alarming image left many concerned, but there’s more to the story.

Influencer Bonnie Engle posted a reel on Instagram that quickly went viral, garnering millions of views and over 1,000 comments.

The video features a close-up of a handwritten note taped inside a car window: “My baby is OK. He’s got his drink and his nibbles! I’m in Target right now. Return soon!”

For many viewers, the note alone was enough to cause panic.

However, those who watched the full video soon realized that Engle was playing a prank. A few seconds after the close-up on the message, the camera pans back to reveal that the “baby” in the car is actually her husband.

The influencer captioned the video, “Please no judgment. He is secure and in good health.”

Her husband is seen inside the car, happily munching on popcorn.

Thankfully, viewers found humor in Bonnie’s video.

One person commented, “My heart dropped and then I LMAO.”

Another said, “Leaving them in the car is so much easier.”

A third viewer added, “For a split second, I thought I was going to lose it… That surprised me, too.”

Many of Engle’s posts are reportedly lighthearted and resonate with mothers dealing with the daily challenges of motherhood.
