In August 2016, after a successful internship in the Bay Area, I returned to India with a desire to build something of my own. Coming from a Marwadi family where business was in our blood, I couldn’t see myself working for someone else. So, alongside my friend Soham, we began ideating. We joined the Desai Sethi Center for Entrepreneurship at IIT Bombay and enrolled in entrepreneurship courses to refine our vision. Eventually, we came up with the idea of a voice-enabled platform for people who struggled with mobile apps—a concept that would soon become AllinCall.

The road wasn’t easy. After pivoting from B2C to B2B, we started approaching major banks like HDFC, YES Bank, and SBI. We learned how to pitch, build prototypes, and navigate the complexities of enterprise sales, often relying on the advice of mentors. By July 2017, we secured our first major client—State Bank of India (SBI), launching the SIA ChatBot. This partnership was a huge breakthrough, but even with early success, we faced significant challenges. In 2018, Soham decided to leave the company, leaving me to manage on my own.

Despite the setbacks, I persisted. I partnered with Harshita, who helped steer the company through tough times. Together, we rebuilt, expanded our client base, and developed new products. By the end of 2019, Allin Call had stabilized, and today, we serve some of the largest enterprises in India. Our journey has been one of resilience and growth, and the lessons learned continue to fuel our success. The key takeaway? Never give up—there’s always a way forward.
