When these photos were shown to others, those with fuller eyebrows were perceived as more narcissistic. Interestingly, when researchers swapped eyebrows between narcissistic and non-narcissistic individuals, participants misidentified them, further supporting the connection between eyebrows and narcissism.
The theory behind this is that narcissists, who are highly concerned with their appearance, may groom their eyebrows meticulously to enhance their facial attractiveness. Eyebrows play a significant role in how we perceive facial expressions, and narcissists might emphasize this feature to boost their allure.
In addition to eyebrow traits, narcissists often exhibit subtle facial reactions, such as eye and forehead muscle twitches, when faced with criticism. While identifying a narcissist can be difficult, paying attention to these signs may help spot them early.
