This young woman only ate one piece of bread a day for 5 years. Now grab a tissue before you see her today
Annie Windley, a 21-year-old woman from Woolley Moor, struggled with anorexia for six years, beginning at age 15. Her disorder left her dangerously underweight, reaching a low of just 60 pounds. Annie’s eating habits became extreme, avoiding carbs, meat, and dairy, and obsessively counting calories. At her worst, she was at risk of a heart attack and was often blacking out.
Her breakthrough came when she ate a piece of Lindt chocolate and realized it didn’t cause the weight gain she feared. This moment helped her start rebuilding her relationship with food. Over time, with the support of friends, family, and a boyfriend, Annie began her recovery. Today, she is in much better health and shares her journey on Instagram to inspire others. Her transformation is a testament to her strength, and she hopes her story will encourage others to seek help and find healing.
