It was an ordinary day when my wife’s mother came over for a visit. We were all chatting in the living room, laughing and catching up. However, my wife seemed to be feeling a bit off. She quietly stood up and mentioned she had a headache, excusing herself from the conversation.
After a few moments, I followed her to the bedroom, and we shared a private moment. The intimacy was brief, but it left me feeling a little flustered. When I returned to the living room, I realized I had forgotten to zip up my pants.
As I sat down, my mother-in-law, ever the observant one, asked, “How is she now?”
I responded, “I’ve given her some medicine. She’s resting now.”
Then, in her usual, somewhat teasing way, she smiled and said, “That’s good, my son. Now, please remember to close the ‘pharmacy.’”
It was one of those moments where I didn’t know whether to laugh or cringe. It was a bit awkward, but it definitely lightened the mood.
