“I am a bit apprehensive that I even have to make a statement like this… speculation from third parties has taken my words and expanded upon them or flat out misrepresented my words or misconstrued their meaning.”
Paevey admitted the industry had affected his mental health, saying:
“The industry hasn’t felt like the place for me in quite some time… it’s taken me to a bit of a dark place, made me into a version of myself I don’t like very much.”
His struggles extended beyond acting, including financial issues and his mother’s lung cancer diagnosis, prompting him to leave Los Angeles to support her. Paevey concluded on a hopeful note, expressing gratitude for his career’s adventures and a renewed focus on family.
