Australian fashion influencer Eli Moulton is warning others about the dangers of wearing long scarves after a terrifying accident left her with a serious neck injury.
On Sunday, Aug. 17, Moulton revealed on Instagram that she nearly “decapitated” herself when her scarf became tangled underneath a moving car. She shared a clip showing herself dressed in a black gown with a matching scarf while attending the Glenelg BMW opening on Aug. 11. “The dress that held me in a choke hold,” she wrote, before revealing the painful burn wrapped around her neck.
Moulton posted close-up images of the injury, describing it as a frightening near miss. “⚠️ A reminder for the ladies: REMOVE your neck scarves before entering or operating any heavy machinery! Nearly decapitated myself getting the scarf tangled underneath the car on the way home 😅,” she captioned.
Followers flooded her page with messages of concern, calling the incident “frightening” and wishing her a quick recovery. Despite the scare, Moulton joked on her Instagram Stories that she was still in high spirits: “Thriving and surviving.”
