Newly declassified FBI interview records have reignited allegations that Senator Adam Schiff authorized the leaking of classified material during the height of the Trump–Russia probe.
According to documents obtained by Just The News, a whistleblower — described as a Democratic intelligence officer with the House Intelligence Committee — repeatedly told the FBI from 2017 to 2023 that Schiff approved leaks intended to politically damage then-President Donald Trump. At the time, Schiff was the panel’s top Democrat, later serving as chairman.
The whistleblower alleged that Rep. Eric Swalwell was often the direct source of the leaks and claimed Schiff had been promised the CIA Director post if Hillary Clinton won the 2016 election. Though that never materialized, Schiff allegedly pushed leaks that fueled the “Russiagate” narrative.
The source told agents they personally witnessed Schiff authorize such actions but said Justice Department officials showed little interest in investigating. The whistleblower was later terminated after raising concerns.
Critics argue that if proven, Schiff’s conduct could represent a serious breach of national security. Schiff has previously denied leaking classified information, dismissing such claims as partisan attacks.
