members from a fast-moving house fire, showing courage far beyond his years.
The fire broke out on what began as an ordinary June afternoon. Romir, upstairs in his room, suddenly smelled smoke and rushed into the hallway, where thick black clouds were already rising. Realizing his grandmother was trapped downstairs, he ran straight into the choking heat to find her. Guiding her hand, he led her carefully through the smoke-filled house and out to safety.
But Romir didn’t stop there. Knowing other relatives were still inside, he returned again and again, pulling each one to safety despite the danger. By the time firefighters arrived, four lives had been spared — all because Romir refused to give in to fear.
Neighbors, teachers, and local leaders now hail him as an inspiration. His grandmother calls him her “guardian angel,” while Romir remains humble, insisting he only “did what needed to be done.”
