It was the first time I didn’t run myself ragged for someone else’s plans. Later, he tried to fight. “You embarrassed me,” he snapped. “You dumped everything on me again and expected a thank-you,” I told him. “This isn’t a partnership it’s a job I didn’t apply for.” To my surprise, the next morning, he cleaned the kitchen.
