In a final, private farewell to the conservative activist who was killed, Charlie Kirk’s distraught widow posted a number of heartfelt photos of herself crying next to her husband’s coffin.
The extremely intimate video showed Erika Kirk sitting next to her husband’s body, wearing a dark suit and crimson tie, inside a lacquered wooden coffin, and tenderly caressing his hand.

“Oh I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. God bless you,” she whispers through muffled sobs, her voice cracking as she weeps over his body.
As she performs a final gesture of devotion in front of her 3.3 million followers, the room echoes with the sound of her sobbing as her shaking fingers rest on his dead hand.

Charlie Kirk’s body is obvious in the pictures, his distinctive frame resting in the coffin, even though his face is obscured.
Hours after Erika’s forceful public statement from her late husband’s studio, in which she vowed to carry on his work and “never let his legacy die,” the unvarnished and eerie scenes occurred.
Just after 8:25 p.m., Erika stood beside the vacant chair that Charlie had once occupied in his studio and spoke to an online audience, promising to carry on the political campaign that her husband had launched.
She urged Kirk’s supporters to join a church before making a commitment to her late husband during an emotional speech that required multiple pauses for her to gather her breath and wipe away tears.
“Charlie, I promise I will never let your legacy die, baby,” she said. “I promise I’ll make Turning Point USA the biggest thing that this nation has ever seen.”
Her remarks were made just hours after the man who was suspected of shooting and killing her husband was apprehended.
During her roughly 16-minute remarks, Erika Kirk, dressed in an emerald green shirt and white blazer, thanked President Donald Trump and his family for their support after the incident.
“Mr President, my husband loved you. And he knew that you loved him too. He did. Your friendship was amazing. You supported him so well, as did he for you,” she said.
