Concern is growing in the country music community as Dolly Parton’s family asks fans to keep the 79-year-old legend in their prayers. The request follows recent health challenges that led Dolly to postpone her Las Vegas residency. Her sister, Freida Parton, shared an emotional Facebook post saying, “Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately.” Dolly confirmed that doctors advised her to undergo medical procedures, assuring fans with optimism, “Don’t worry about me quittin’ the business because God hasn’t said anything about stopping yet.”
Earlier this year, Dolly battled a painful kidney stone and infection that forced her to miss a Dollywood event. Despite her health issues, she remains active with projects including a musical based on her life, a children’s book, and a fashion collaboration. Freida expressed faith in Dolly’s strength, writing, “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know she’ll be fine.” After losing her husband, Carl Dean, in March 2025, Dolly’s faith and resilience continue to inspire millions worldwide.
