Neglected and abused tiger cub is finally rescued from cruel circus, try not to cry when you see her today –
Aasha, a Bengal tiger, was rescued from a traveling circus in 2011, where she had suffered severe neglect. At just nine months old, she had spent her life in a cage with a violent tiger, leading to skin infections, fur loss, and stunted growth—she was as small as a three-month-old. The animal rescue group In-Sync Exotics took her in, where she began an intensive treatment regimen. Caregiver Vicky Keahey administered daily medications and forced Aasha into medical baths, which the tiger initially disliked. After eight weeks, Aasha’s fur began to regrow, and she started enjoying the baths.
As Aasha grew healthier, she was introduced to Smuggler, a male tiger who had been longing for companionship. The two bonded quickly, and after several supervised visits, they were allowed to live together. Now, five years later, Aasha is a happy and healthy adult tiger, inseparable from Smuggler and fond of swimming. Though she can’t be released into the wild, Aasha’s life has greatly improved, and she will never face the cruelty she endured in the circus again.
