Alan Jackson, the country music legend, is gearing up for his farewell tour, motivated by a desire to spend more time with his family. The announcement comes after the joyful arrival of his new grandson, Wesley Alan Smith, born on June 20.
In February, Jackson shared his happiness on social media about the growing family, expressing his joy for his daughter Mattie and her husband, Connor Smith. Reflecting on his illustrious 30-year career, the 65-year-old artist shared, “I’ve played everywhere and had a wonderful career,” but now feels it’s time to focus on family as his daughters are grown and he has grandchildren to cherish.
His upcoming farewell tour, titled “Last Call: One More for the Road,” will kick off on August 2, 2025. Jackson also revealed that he has Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a condition that affects his mobility, further influencing his decision to retire. “I want to think about maybe calling it quits before I’m unable to do the job like I want to,” he said.
As he prepares for this new chapter, Jackson is eager to embrace family life and focus on his health.
