A woman from Middletown, Ohio, has gone viral after claiming a Starbucks barista wrote a disturbing message on her cup when she ordered the favorite drink of slain political activist Charlie Kirk. Kirk’s assassination on September 10 sent shockwaves nationwide, deepening political divides. As tensions rise, the woman’s post has reignited debate over free speech, respect, and how far partisanship has crept into everyday interactions.

Autumn Perkins says she ordered the beverage from a Starbucks in Kroger on Towne Blvd, before taking to social media yesterday, September 22, to write: “The girl at Starbucks thought she was cute. I don’t even support Starbucks bc of everything they stand for starting with their satanic logo, but I support Charlie Kirk so I thought you know what…I’ll get his drink.
“Thank you Starbucks for proving to me exactly why I prefer to support my small local Christian owned and operated coffee shop. Well done
“This was at the Starbucks inside of Kroger on Towne Blvd in Middletown OH.”
The cup allegedly read, ‘racists fav drink’, with Perkins providing multiple updates underneath her post.

The woman said she reported the alleged incident to the store manager and planned to contact Starbucks’ corporate office. However, Starbucks later stated that an internal investigation found no evidence supporting her claim. Reviewing timestamped footage, the company said the comments “were not written by a Starbucks partner” and appeared added afterward. The controversy follows the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, whose death has further polarized public opinion.
