In a rare and astonishing moment that has captivated both parents and medical experts, a Pennsylvania mother recorded her newborn daughter performing feats well beyond her age. Just three days after birth, tiny Nyilah Daise Tzabari amazed everyone by crawling and lifting her head—movements typically seen months later in a baby’s development.
Her mother, Samantha Mitchell, 34, couldn’t believe her eyes. “I’ve spent more than 20 years around children, and I’ve never witnessed anything like this,” Mitchell shared. The remarkable scene unfolded on March 2, 2023, less than 72 hours after Nyilah’s arrival. Born three weeks past her due date, at 43 weeks gestation and weighing 7 pounds, 6 ounces, Nyilah appeared strong and alert from the start.
Mitchell said it was her own mother who urged her to record the moment after witnessing the baby’s unexpected crawling motion. “No one would have believed me if I didn’t capture it,” she explained. “Even my fiancé, Ofer, wasn’t there, and I knew he’d need to see it to believe it.”
The video shows baby Nyilah propped up on her tiny arms, lifting her head steadily, and pushing forward across the bed. Medical professionals note that babies usually achieve this kind of upper body control between six and nine months old.
