I wasn’t born with a silver spoon, but I came from an upper-middle-class family with plenty of land and a comfortable lifestyle. Yet, I wasn’t satisfied. My parents always wanted me to become a doctor, like many in our family, but I had bigger dreams. It all started when I was around 15 or 16. By 17, I had begun distributing newspapers. My business grew exponentially as I became the sole distributor in my area, and soon I expanded into other cities.

Before I turned 19, I had already made a few lakh rupees, and my friend and I ventured into the rental of heavy and commercial vehicles. That, too, was a huge success. At the time, it seemed everything I touched turned to gold. With money flowing in, I decided to pursue business studies in London. I thought I was set for life, but my business back in India collapsed while I was abroad. I lost everything and was left homeless in London, struggling to pay for basic living expenses.

To survive, I took any job I could get—washing cars and even cleaning mall toilets. Though humiliating, these experiences gave me the resilience and inner strength I didn’t know I had. Along the way, I met two traders who were impressed by my rise and fall in business. They introduced me to the stock market, and within a few years, I became a millionaire, with $1.2 million in my trading account.
