People Who Keep Secrets From Their Spouses and Plan to Never Tell

People often believe they know their spouse better than anyone, but sometimes, even small secrets are kept. One woman shared her experience of hiding a minor truth from her husband.
While out for dinner, her phone’s battery was low, so she turned it off to conserve power. On the way home, she realized her phone was missing and started to panic.
She searched her bag and the car but couldn’t find it anywhere. In a panic, she asked her husband to drive an hour back to the restaurant.
Once there, the staff helped them search the restaurant. Her husband, frustrated, joined in, looking everywhere. In the middle of the search, she felt something in her jacket pocket—her phone had been there all along.
Embarrassed by her mistake and reluctant to admit it, she decided to keep it to herself. “I didn’t want to admit it,” she said, feeling guilty for making him drive all the way back.
She pretended to check the restroom and made up an excuse. “It was on the toilet tank,” she said, avoiding the truth.
To this day, her husband has no idea the phone was with her the entire time, and she’s decided to keep the secret to avoid further embarrassment.
