How I Found Love From Enemies to Soulmates.

FROM ENEMIES TO FOREVER: A LOVE STORY, I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for almost eight years now. It sounds unbelievable, but my husband and I have known each other since middle school here in the U.S. Back in those days, we were total enemies—always fighting in class, driving our teachers crazy. If you had told us back then that we’d end up together, we’d have laughed. But after middle school, things changed. We started talking online, and somehow, we became best friends. It didn’t take long before we fell in love, and we’ve been together ever since, despite living in different cities. Now, long-distance relationships….

I’ve been in a long-distance relationship for almost eight years now.

Now, long-distance relationships aren’t easy. There have been times when we’ve had big arguments, and I’d run to my parents, declaring that we had broken up. But they knew better. At this point, they’d just smile, knowing that in a few hours, I’d be back saying we’d made up. We always work it out, because that’s what being committed means—you don’t just walk away when things get tough. We’ve learned how to communicate and trust each other, even when we’re miles apart.

The most amazing part of this journey? We got married! It still blows my mind when I think about how far we’ve come. I used to joke about never getting married, and now I’m with the guy I couldn’t stand as a kid. It just goes to show you, love can surprise you in the best ways. Our story isn’t perfect, but it’s ours. And living here in the U.S., where everyone has their own unique love stories, I feel lucky to have found mine.
