Even though they eventually went to different schools, the bond they shared remained strong.
Last year, Ben and Mary ran into each other again, and Ben remembered the promise he had made all those years ago. Without hesitation, he asked Mary to be his prom date, a gesture that touched her deeply. Mary was both surprised and delighted that Ben had kept his word after all this time.
