This method is an excellent way to clean burners to look like new in just 10 minutes
When cleaning a gas stove after cooking, we often focus on the surface and neglect the burners themselves. Regular cleaning of burners prevents dirt and grease from clogging their small parts, thereby weakening the flame. However, aggressive cleaning methods are inappropriate for these parts due to the need to prevent scratches.
For preventive cleaning or mild dirt, I disassemble the burners, place them in a basin, and pour boiling water mixed with 2 tablespoons of citric acid over them.
The acid effectively dissolves grease, helps remove soap effortlessly, and restores the metal to its original appearance.
For heavy dirt, this soaking method won’t be enough. A more radical cleaning method involves making a paste by mixing 2 tablespoons of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of dishwashing liquid, and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide.
Apply this paste to the burner parts with a sponge or toothbrush, and leave it for a few minutes.
You can also use this solution to clean the burner installation areas and tough stains on the stove.
Baking soda plays a key role in removing grime; it dissolves grease and acts as a mild abrasive, effectively handling dirt of various types.
