While other men expressed interest in her, Sally’s heart belonged to Richard, and she struggled with guilt over the idea of moving on.

Throwing herself into her career as an engineer, Sally found solace in her work and rose through the ranks. Her travels across the country provided a distraction from her sorrow. One Sunday, she attended a local church service, where she unexpectedly crossed paths with Richard. Their brief encounter stirred emotions she thought she had buried.

Later, Richard arranged to meet Sally privately to explain his absence. He revealed that he had never remarried and still harbored feelings for her, but confessed that he was still in love with his high school sweetheart, Megan. Sally was devastated by this revelation, feeling betrayed and heartbroken all over again.

Resolving to move forward with her life, Sally reached out to her supportive friend Jake and invited him to dinner. Though apprehensive about starting anew, she knew she needed to let go of her past and embrace the future.
