In Defiance, Missouri, a tragic house explosion on Friday morning claimed the lives of two young boys, Julian Keiser, 4, and Jamison Keiser, 6. School had been canceled due to severe weather, leaving the boys at home. Their mother, Evelyn Turpiano, and their grandparents, Jennifer and Vern Ham, managed to escape.Firefighters responded quickly, but intense flames prevented them from rescuing the boys. Neighbor Sharon Oberlag, who heard the blast, remembered the boys fondly, calling them “the nicest little boys,” and noting their love for school. The building’s owners, the Hoffmann Family of Companies, shared their condolences, stating,

“Our hearts are with the family who lost their children and grandchildren.”A GoFundMe campaign started by Dan Tripp, co-owner of Good News Brewing, has raised over $145,000 to support the family. Neighbor Laura Emerson placed a Christmas wreath on the ruins, saying, “Those boys were happy, loved, and content.”
