There are plenty of things you can’t do until you reach a certain age—like getting a driver’s license or booking a hotel room. However, as we grow older, some habits, like wearing jeans, may start to feel less fitting. A survey by CollectPlus, a UK-based courier company, examined the shopping habits of 2,000 national shoppers and revealed that many believe squeezing into jeans past the age of 53 isn’t worth the hassle.
According to the survey, finding a well-fitting pair of jeans becomes increasingly challenging as our bodies evolve over time. This isn’t about following fashion rules; it’s about comfort and fit. Surprisingly, one in ten participants over 50 reported trying on up to six pairs before finding the right one. By age 53, shopping for jeans can be particularly stressful, with 6% of shoppers admitting to feeling so frustrated they cried.
While jeans shopping is a challenge for many, individuals typically spend five to eight days searching for the perfect pair. But if you love your favorite jeans, there’s no reason to stop wearing them! Fashion is personal, and what truly matters is your comfort and confidence. So if denim is still your thing, rock those jeans with pride!
