Her TikTok video went viral, leading to the hotel refunding her and offering a complimentary two-day stay. While the hotel has not publicly responded, the CEO of the company supplying the smoke detectors claimed the room was “unquestionably smoked in,” citing scientific evidence. Harper’s viral post helped resolve the situation, though she expressed frustration over the unexpected and stressful fee.
