Beloved sports reporter’s 2-year-old daughter has tragically passed away Rest in peace, little one

NFL reporter Doug Kyed is grieving the heartbreaking loss of his two-year-old daughter, Hallie, who passed away in January 2021 after a courageous nine-month battle with leukemia. Hallie was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in April 2023, and despite her young age, she fought fiercely through aggressive treatments, including a bone marrow transplant. Tragically, Hallie relapsed and her condition worsened. On a Sunday morning, she peacefully passed away in her parents’ arms at Boston Children’s Hospital.
Doug and his wife, Jen, shared that Hallie’s strength throughout her illness brought them moments of hope, but the prognosis remained poor. Doug expressed the profound impact Hallie had on their lives, stating, “Our lives will never be the same.” Jen described the pain of losing her daughter as feeling like a hole in her heart. The NFL community has rallied around the Kyed family, offering condolences as they mourn the loss of their precious daughter. Hallie’s passing is a devastating reminder of the challenges many families face in the fight against cancer.
