They didn’t expect this – Single photo goes viral as family is denied booth at restaurant- I can’t believe it

A family was denied a booth at a Texas Roadhouse, even though it was empty. When they asked to be seated there, the server explained it was reserved for someone special. Disappointed, the family settled for the hard chairs but stayed close by to see who would occupy the booth.
Soon, they discovered the booth was reserved in honor of five police officers who lost their lives in the line of duty. Plates were set at the table, accompanied by a note and an American flag. The sign read, “We remember and honor the five slain police officers: Sergeant Michael J. Smith, Officer Michael Krol, Officer Patrick Zamarripa, Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens, and Mr. Brent Thompson of the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police Department. May you rest in peace.”
The family and other customers were deeply moved by the gesture. Photos of the tribute went viral, and people began tagging the restaurant online. This touching act mirrored a previous tribute when 13 empty seats were reserved in honor of soldiers killed in Afghanistan. What a beautiful way to remember and honor heroes.
