When my father suffered a heart attack, I rushed to the hospital They wouldn’t let me into the ICU

When my father suffered a heart attack, I rushed to the hospital at 2 a.m. They wouldn’t let me into the ICU, but a kind nurse eventually allowed me to see him after hours. I was relieved and grateful for her support.
Months later, my father called me, urging me to turn on the news. To my shock, I learned that the nurse who had been so helpful wasn’t actually a nurse. She had been arrested for impersonating one.
It turned out she had a serious mental condition and had somehow managed to infiltrate the hospital. Though she had attended nursing school, she never graduated, and yet she managed to deceive everyone, even caring for patients. Some of them had worsened under her care.
She was eventually caught and arrested. While it was terrifying to learn how close she had come to treating my father, I was relieved he had never been directly under her care.
The entire situation still haunts me, knowing how easily it could have turned out differently.
