My 7-month pregnant wife and I were standing in a crowded grocery store, waiting in line. The store was busy, with long lines, and we chatted as we waited. Finally, it was our turn. Just as I started unloading our groceries onto the conveyor belt, a large man barged into our cart, causing my wife to stumble. “Step off, I’m in a rush!” he shouted loudly.
I felt a surge of anger, ready to confront him. But before I could, my wife calmly grabbed my arm. “Don’t waste yourself on him,” she said, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “Just watch.”
I was skeptical but stayed silent. The man paid for his groceries and headed for the exit. Suddenly, two security guards appeared, grabbing him and pulling him aside. He shouted, but they were firm. I turned to my wife, shocked. “How did you know?”
She smiled. “I saw him stuffing items into his jacket. He was trying to steal electronics.”
I was amazed. She handled the situation with grace and outsmarted the thief without a scene.
