On Sunday, August 11, two toddlers were seen walking on a Texas highway, dazed and in their diapers, after being ejected from a car during a horrific crash. The incident took place on Interstate 10 in Freeport, where a car flipped multiple times, ejecting both an adult and the two small children.
A disturbing video, shared widely on Facebook, shows the toddlers standing alone with only minor scrapes. Thankfully, two men quickly rushed to their aid, bringing them to safety. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the children were taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. The other driver involved in the crash was unharmed.
The sheriff’s office emphasized that it’s unclear whether the children were properly secured in car seats, a key detail in the ongoing investigation. The crash serves as a tragic reminder of the importance of ensuring that young children are always properly strapped into their car seats, no matter the circumstances. While the toddlers are expected to recover, the heartbreaking incident highlights the dangers of inadequate child restraint in vehicles.
