Eric Lind, who filmed the scene, described how his mother received a call from a neighbor about the peculiar sight. Initially, the owl was perched in their backyard pine tree, and it was unclear what the bird was carrying. Upon closer inspection, they realized it was a child’s stick horse, which the owl seemed quite attached to, perhaps mistaking it for prey.
Eric humorously quipped, “If your child is missing their stick horse, you’ll have to take it up with the owl!” The video delighted many, providing a moment of joy and laughter.
