A man in Los Angeles, Elvis Summers, took it upon himself to help Irene “Smokie” McGee, a homeless woman who had spent a decade living on the streets after losing her home. Irene had been sleeping on the ground, struggling to survive by collecting recyclables. After befriending her, Elvis decided to act. Using $500 worth of materials and donations from a local business, he built Irene a tiny house in just five days, giving her a safe and comfortable place to live. His selfless act provided Irene with a secure home after years of hardship.
