Unfortunately, not everyone deserves the privilege of owning or being around animals. A shocking case recently came to light when Hayden Howard discovered her dog, an English Mastiff named Jackson, wasn’t feeling well after playing in the backyard. Initially, she thought he had been bitten by bugs, but upon closer inspection, she realized something much more disturbing.
Jackson had been shot numerous times with a BB gun. There were bullets lodged in his eyelid, ear, knee, and several other areas of his body. In total, the veterinarian removed 27 bullets and found 20 additional bullet holes throughout his body, with Jackson enduring nearly 70 gunshot wounds.
This disturbing incident prompted an investigation by local police, who discovered drug paraphernalia and a BB pistol at the neighbor’s house where the gunshots likely originated. The person responsible was reportedly involved in illegal activities, and law enforcement is working to ensure they face appropriate consequences for their actions.
Thankfully, Jackson is on the road to recovery, but the cruelty he experienced serves as a stark reminder of how some individuals harm animals.
