While performing her song “Tin Man,” Lambert stopped the show to reprimand a fan for taking a selfie, stating, “These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song.” Some concertgoers supported Lambert, but others criticized her for embarrassing the fan. The fan, Adela Calin, explained that she only took a quick photo and was shocked by Lambert’s public scolding, feeling belittled. In a later concert, Lambert responded to the controversy by referencing a fan’s shirt that read, “Shoot tequila, not selfies,” which further angered some fans online.
