
Four Indian nationals, including a woman, tragically lost their lives in a multi-vehicle accident in Texas while carpooling to Bentonville, Arkansas. The incident occurred when a speeding truck rear-ended their SUV, causing it to burst into flames. The victims were identified as Aryan Raghunath Orampati, Farooq Shaik, Lokesh Palacharla, and Darshini Vasudevan.Orampati and Shaik were returning from visiting family in Dallas, while Palacharla was headed to reunite with his wife. Vasudevan, a recent Master’s graduate from the University of Texas, was on her way to visit her uncle. The impact of the crash left their bodies charred beyond recognition, prompting authorities to rely on DNA testing for identification.Dharshini Vasudevan’s father had reached out to India’s External Affairs Minister for assistance in locating his daughter just days before the tragedy. The accident has raised concerns about safety on Texas highways and highlights the dangers associated with human smuggling and reckless driving practices.
