Liam Neeson, renowned for his action-packed roles, has expressed that he is considering retiring from action films due to his age. The 72-year-old actor, who gained fame as a late-career action hero after Taken (2008), has enjoyed a successful second act in high-octane thrillers, portraying tough characters like Bryan Mills.
Neeson acknowledges the physical toll of doing stunts and fight scenes, admitting, “I’m 72, it has to stop at some stage.” Despite his continued dedication to doing many of his own stunts, Neeson feels it’s time to move on, especially as his collaboration with stunt coordinator Mark Vanselow has made his action roles safer yet still physically demanding.
Neeson’s career change may lead him into comedy, as he recently filmed The Naked Gun, a reimagining of the 1988 comedy, where he stars alongside Pamela Anderson. Though uncertain of his comedic abilities, Neeson seems excited about the change, signaling a new chapter for the actor.
