A driver was injured in Texas when their car was struck by a small plane that overshot the runway during landing. The incident occurred at Aero Country Airport in McKinney, near Dallas, when a single-engine Lancair IV-P crashed through a fence and collided with a silver sedan on a nearby road. Witness Jack Schneider captured the moment on video, noting that the plane was coming in too fast, with tires smoking as it approached the runway. The pilot, who was attempting to land for the first time at this airport, later told witnesses that the reverse thrust mechanism failed, preventing him from slowing down effectively. Fortunately, only one person from the car sustained minor injuries, while two individuals on the plane were also evaluated at the scene.

Emergency responders arrived promptly, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are now investigating the cause of the crash. The road remained closed for several hours as crews worked to clear the area and gather evidence.
