Kirk Cameron, the actor famous for Growing Pains, is the latest celebrity to leave California. He recently shared his decision to move, citing the state’s direction and the division it has caused. Cameron explained that he and his family sought a place that fosters a “healthy freedom mindset,” choosing Tennessee as their new home.
The father of six expressed his desire to be surrounded by people who share his values of “God, family, and nation,” especially if future economic or social issues arise. He also pointed out that many Californians have relocated to Tennessee, and joked, “Don’t California our Tennessee,” when encountering them in public.
Cameron believes Tennessee offers a better lifestyle, with its wholesome values and, notably, good whiskey. His sister, Candace Cameron Bure, has also left California for similar reasons.
