The incident occurred when her Mini Cooper collided with a home in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, igniting a fire that engulfed both the vehicle and the residence. Heche was severely injured, suffering significant burns and a traumatic brain injury, leading to her being placed in a coma.Emergency responders rushed her to a hospital where she remained in critical condition.
